NOTICES
FAREWELL SERVICE FOR REV JOHANNAH MPHAGA
On Sunday, 23 February 2025, we would like
to host a farewell function for Rev Johannah Mphaga where we could present her with a gift. We invite all
Guilds, Groups and individuals to show their appreciation in a tangible way in order to acknowledge Rev
Johannah for the service she rendered to this parish. For planning and coordination purposes, kindly
indicate to one of the Churchwardens what form of gift/token of appreciation you plan to give. We would
appreciate it if this information could be provided to us before Friday, 14 February 2025. We hope to have
some refreshments after the 09h30 service in the hall.
The 07h30 congregation could also plan something special for refreshments after the service. We would like Rev Johannah to preside at both services on the day.
PARKING
Parishioners who wish to make donations towards the payment of the monthly parking structure are encouraged to do so.
SERVERS’ MINISTRY
The Servers’ Ministry is appealing to young people to consider offering themselves
to serve at the Altar. This is in response to some members moving away to further their studies in higher
education. Those interested in joining the ministry may contact the clergy or the office.
REGULATION ON COMMUNION
Parishioners are reminded that communion in two kinds has been made
available for those who wish to share in the common cup. As has always been the case, persons who wish
may continue to choose to receive communion in one kind only. Intinction (by placing the host into the blood
by either the minister or the communicant) is not permitted for health reasons. The person’s hand touching
the contents of the cup or the clerics touching the communicant’s mouth is unhygienic.
LECTIONARIES
Kindly note that lectionaries for 2024 are now available. They may be purchased from the
office for R 45.00 or from the Churchwardens after the Sunday services.

PARISH TREASURER
The Parish Council is seeking a qualified volunteer to take on the role of Treasurer.
According to Diocesan Rule 25.51, the Council is responsible for appointing a Treasurer, who may or may
not be a member of the Council. The Treasurer shall be entrusted with all duties related to maintaining the
accounts and managing the Parish's finances as directed by the Council. The previous individuals in this
position faced difficulties that made it challenging for them to dedicate the necessary time.

on Sunday, 02 February 2025. Classes will commence on Sunday, 09 February 2025 with the baptism
